Here is a short blog from Wedding Hand on the all important dress, hope you enjoy…….
With my jaw on my desk as I look at the latest images from the bridal ‘Fall 2015’ runway shows I ask myself is the dress really worth the money?
One word…….MARCHESA……WOW!
Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig showed 15 looks on the runway including tops with silk fraille skirts, gowns with detachable capes and both tea length and drop waist cocktail dresses. All completely different all so elegant and all the models presented immaculatly. No accessories needed as the gowns spoke for themselves. The duo aimed the collection at ‘all the different kinds of brides out there’ and I truly think that they delivered, and wait for it………a hit of the colour…… Champagne, could be the next big hue?
Having sat gazing at the dresses for longer than I should, would I buy an expensive Marchesa dress for one day? Well if money was no object- HELL YES!
Looking closer to home, but just as lavish, there are bespoke wedding dress designers up and down the country. One that stands out is ‘Adam Shaw Couture’ based in Yorkshire. He uses traditional tailoring techniques and pays particular attention to enhance femininity. Shaw only works with the best products including stunning French laces, Swarovski crystals, fresh water pearls and vintage glass beads. So your dream wedding dress can become a reality. Also ‘Champagne’ is mentioned on his lovely website- like I say the next big thing??
Another wedding I love for the perfect gown is ‘Dress Me Pretty’ based in Leicestershire. They have a fabulous range of dresses, from new to ex-sample designer and pre-loved designer dresses with great savings. Over 100 dresses in stock. They also have a plus size designer range, so you will have more than enough to choose from. You can not leave without finding the perfect one and they also supply accessories and all under one roof.
The perfect wedding dress is out there for you……happy hunting!!
